Pada hari ini, Senin (13/3/23) Academy Awards ke-95 ajang penghargaan yang dipersembahkan oleh Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), untuk film rilisan tahun 2022 digelar di Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles, California.
Sebelumnya AMPAS telah mengumumkan deretan film yang masuk nominasi untuk Oscar 2023, dimana Everything Everywhere All at Once (EEAAO) menjadi yang terbanyak mendapatkan nominasi dengan 11, dan berhasil memenangkan 7 diantaranya, seperti Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Suporting Actor, sampai Best Suporting Actress.
Lalu ada All Quiet on the Western Front yang sudah menggondol 4 piala setelah masuk dalam 9 nominasi kategori, mereka membawa pulang Best International Feature Film, Best Cinematography, Best Pruduction Design, dan Best Music untuk Original Score.
Sementara film arahan James Cameron, Avatar: The Way of Water berhasil membawa pulang satu Piala Oscar 2023 untuk kategori Best Visual Effects, setelah mengalahkan empay pesaingnya, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever dan Top Gun: Maverick.
