Setelah musim kesebelas berakhir pada bulan April 2023 dan memunculkan nama ONIC Esports sebagai juaranya setelah menang telak atas EVOS Legends di partau puncak, akhirnya sebentar lagi liga profesional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang akan kembali bergulir.
Sekitar tiga pekan lagi dari sekarang, MPL ID S12 akan segera hadir. Dimana ada berbagai perubahan yang terjadi di musim depan, mulai dari bertambahnya tim peserta hingga tempat yang bakalan menjadi venue untuk dijadikan arena pertandingan MPL ID S12 nantinya.

Musim ke-12 dari MPL Indonesia tampaknya akan semakin seru dan menarik, sebab selain dari berita transfer tentang pemain yang datang dan pergi, ada juga kabar mengejutkan lainnya yang sudah beredar luas.
Kabar tersebut adalah tentang adanya penambahan slot untuk tim peserta MPL ID musim depan, dimana DEWA United ikut begabung dalam Liga Profesional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia Season 12.
Dengan hadirnya DEWA United di skena kompetitif MLBB Indonesia, itu artinya MPL ID S12 akan diikuti oleh 9 tim profesional.

Regular season MPL Indonesia S12 akan berjalan selama delapan pekan (week), dimana laga perdana akan digelar pada tanggal 13 Juli dan ditutup dengan laga terakhir di tanggal 24 September 2023 sebelum lanjut ke babak playoff pada bulan Oktober.

Jadwal Playoff MPL ID S12
Nantinya, enam tim teratas di klasemen akhir regular season akan maju ke babak playoff yang akan digelar pada tanggal 11-15 Oktober 2023.
Di babak playoff, peringkat 3-6 akan saling bertarung dalam single eliminasi, dimana peringkat 1 dan 2 sudah menunggu.
Setiap pertandingan di babak playoff akan dimainkan dalam format Bo5, sementara untuk babak Grand Final berjalan dengan format Bo7.
Prize Pool
Selain ada total hadiah sebesar $336,500 USD yang diperebutkan, ada juga dua tiket menuju M5 World Championship yang akan didapatkan oleh tim Juara dan Runner up MPL ID S12.
